Grace Senior Living to Host VA Benefit for Senior Living Seminar for Wartime Veterans and Surviving Spouses, Sept. 16
The seminar will focus on understanding the eligibility requirements and the application process.
DOUGLASVILLE, Ga. (August 19, 2014) – Grace Senior Living of Douglasville will host a pension benefit seminar for veterans and surviving spouses interested in learning more about VA benefits related to senior living. The seminar will be held on Tuesday, September 16, and will begin at 6:00 p.m. Grace Senior Living is located at 8847 Hospital Drive in Douglasville.
VA Aid & Attendance benefits are available to wartime veterans and surviving spouses to help pay for assisted living, personal care costs and those who need the “aid and attendance” of another person to avoid the hazards of daily life.
Eligibility requirements and understanding the application process will be the focus of the seminar led by Patty Servaes, founder of Elder Resource Benefits Consulting, an organization dedicated to helping seniors and their families understand the cost of senior care and potential funding.
“Working with the VA to determine which benefits a veteran qualifies for doesn’t have to be a confusing and frustrating process,” says Servaes. “We want to help guide veterans and their families through the process and make sure they have all of the documentation they need when applying for programs like the Aid and Assistance Pension Benefit.”
“Grace Senior Living strives to be an educational resource to the entire Douglasville community for all issues related to the golden years,” says Jan Williams, executive director for Grace Senior Living of Douglasville. “It is a privilege to serve members of the Greatest Generation, and we want to do that with honor, respect, faith and integrity. This seminar is just another way for us to fulfill our mission.”
The event is free and open to the public. For more information, call (770) 920-2273.
